Moulin Mini

Happy New Year everyone!!

But before the year is done, I have one more mini album to sneak in there to share with you. LOL! I just love making mini albums :) I made this mini as a New Year's Eve album, where I can tuck fun photos, a guest list (so we can always remember the people with whom we rang in 2012) and other memorabilia.

I used FabScraps paper for the mini which is very beautiful and fun to work with. I purchased the paper awhile back at YSS. Unfortunately, I don't think they carry it anymore, but I think HSN has it.

And of course, I decked out the mini with lovely flowers from I Am Roses. Some of them are sprayed with Lindy's Hottie Pattotie pink to make them even more beautiful and appropriate for this fun party album. A list of flowers and links are below.

No New Year's mini album would be complete without a dropping ball! I used a sliding card tutorial that I found at Splitcoast Stampers to create a dropping New Year's ball. The ball itself was made from one of the cute Accucut birdcage dies (it doesn't look like it though) and decked out in some blingy mesh that I received from Esmeralda at Pro 31 Designs.

I hope you enjoy the new album! I'm looking forward to 2012 and the opportunity to share more projects with you.

Ho Ho Yummy Mini

I have a fun new mini album to share with you. I created this kitchen recipe mini using the paper collection by DCWV called Mrs. Claus' Kitchen. What an adorable paper collection!!! All the flowers I used in the mini are from I Am roses. Links to the flowers I used are below toward the end of the post.

This mini was created using a custom die that I designed with Accucut to create a kitchen mini album. And since this is a recipe mini, I tucked recipe cards behind many of the stove die cuts of the album as I popped up the stoves to use them like pockets. I either created the recipe cards using my Tim Holtz On the Edge Tab die or I cut the cards out of the paper collection. This paper collection has both blank recipe cards and cards with real holiday recipes on them. YUM! This design leaves lots of room where I can tuck away cards and fill them in with my favorite holiday recipes.

I also had the chance to use my new Spellbinders Dress Form and Tim Holtz Distressed Doliy dies in this mini. OMG, those dies are total MUST HAVES!

Here are some photos of the interior pages. I hope you like the mini, and thanks for stopping by my web site today.

Sharing Marie's Hot Air Balloon Mini

I am super excited to share today a hot air balloon mini album designed by Marie using the hot air balloon chipboard kit from my shop. She did the most amazing job, so check out her video (link below). She created the album for her sister's baby shower. Marie's sister is expecting triplets! I love all the beautiful decorative touches Marie added to the album, but I also love functionality, and love how Marie incorporated pockets into the album where her sister can keep her shower cards.

Wonderful job Marie!!!! Your sister will love it!!!

I Am Roses Color Challenge

Are you ready for our first I Am Roses Color Challenge? It’s happening right now. Here’s your chance to win some of the fabulous flowers that our Design Team uses. Head on over to the I Am Roses Challenge Blog for more details and challenge rules.

Here's the card I created for the challenge:

I created this card using papers from Pion's Waiting for Santa II paper collection. Actually, I used scraps left over from my Russian Holiday mini album. The soft color scheme of the papers was perfect for this challenge. The stamped image is a gal from The Greeting Farm. I colored her with my Copics and paper pieced her coat and boots. The holly doily is from a Spellbinders die. Love the die.

For the flowers, I used:

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the I Am Roses challenge blog for more details about how you can participate and enter to win some IAR flowers!

Card Share

I've been working on a lot of mini albums and altered boxes lately, so it was so much fun to break out my Copic markers to do some coloring and make new cards.

For this card, I colored up a new stamp from Some Odd Girl. She's so beautiful and reminds me so much of Bette Davis. For the background, I crumpled up some 7 Gypsies tissue paper and fussy cut a floral doily image from Websters Pages Winter Fairy Tales collection. For the flowers, I used the Pale Lavender Gardenia from I Am Roses. They are so beautiful and such a pretty soft color. I also used some tiny rose buds, green leaves and a S10 flower. New to my stash are the pale green maple leaves and they are absolutely gorgeous! Check them out. Links for all the flowers are below.

For this card, I colored a stamp from The Greeting Farm's Miss Anya Hats Off collection. I love this stamp and as she is perfectly suited for a Parisian themed card like this one. For this card, I used the My Minds Eye Paris & Co. stack that Pea from Whimsical Endeavors had gifted me in our cigar box swap. The paper is so beautiful and I just love it!! Thank you SOOOO MUCH Pea! The paper has some pretty large flowers that I fussy cut, layered and popped for dimension. I used 7 Gygpsies stamps, a doily I cut with my Spellbinders die, some Prima bling, and a lollipop flower that I made. For the sentiment, I applied Glossy Accents over the word Merci since this is a thank you card.

Thanks for checking out my blog today and happy crafting! Here are the flower links:

Carriage Collection Mini Album Die Cut Kit - Now Available

I am pleased to share with you Teddyboo's newest mini album collection — the Carriage Collection — is now available.

I adore carriages. Don't we all?! They are just so beautiful and romantic. My newest collection, the Carriage Collection, is perfect for a variety of projects — princess, Valentine's Day, first date, engagement, wedding, vintage or Parisian-inspired. The carriage design itself is versatile and will also work well with masculine and grunge papers.

Additionally, Teddyboo added DCWV's Preppy Princess paper collection to our paper upgrade options as these cute papers will work perfectly with our carriage die to create an album that's oh-so-pretty for your little princess or princesses. Other paper upgrade options in the shop that will work well with this die include Prima Printery, Recollections/MME Portobello Road, Western Romance ... well all the papers would look great with this super cute die cut. ;)

An interesting note about this album — it can be bound from the left side or the top, making it a great choice for flip style albums, like calendars.

For pricing or to place an order, please click on the Shop My Teddyboo link in the upper right hand corner of this web page.

If you have any questions, just send me a PM.

Happy crafting!!!

Pion Design Paper Share and Special Offer

Hi everyone! I'm so excited!!! My order from Pion Design arrived yesterday, and I just love their paper collections. They are amazingly beautiful! I used their Christmas paper collection, Waiting for Santa II, in my Russian Holiday mini album, and many of the people who watched the video of that mini asked me where they could purchase the paper, because they love it too.

Pion is a Swedish company, and their paper can be hard to find in the United States. But I learned that Pion accepts international orders through their web site. Even better, Pion is offering followers and subscribers to My Teddyboo a 10% discount off your online purchases through their store. The coupon code is TB2011, and it is valid for purchases made through November 30, 2011. I am so excited to share this special offer with you. I ordered through Pion on November 4 and received my order yesterday in 10 days which is very fast international shipping.

Here is a video where I share my Waiting for Santa II papers so you can get a closer look:

And here's a video where I share the new papers I received yesterday, Studio of Memories and For Father:

Can you guess what's on my Christmas wish list this year? Yep, I would like more paper collections from Pion. LOL! I am planning some new projects with my new papers and will be excited to share them with you. Have a great day!

Hugs, Amy

Be the Change

Here's a cute, quick project that I created. It's a mini journal featuring one of my all-time favorite quotes from Gandhi: Be the change you wish to see in the world. What powerful yet simple and inspiring words.

To create this journal, I cut the cover and inside pages using my Sizzix Album Cover & Page die. What a great little die. You can do so much with it. I bound the pages with my Cinch. To reinforce the magnitude of changing the world on such a tiny journal, I used the world page from the Tim Holtz kraft resist paper stack. I just LOVE kraft paper, and I love that stack! The paper roses were fussy cut from Websters Pages Western Romance. I distressed the pages with TH Vintage Photo and Tattered Rose distress inks. To decorate the cover, I used a Tattered Angels frame, a TH pen nib, a feather, pink satin pleated trim, crochet trim and several of my all time favorite I am Roses flowers:

Here's another look:

Have a great day and remember the power to change the world lies within each one of us.

Russian Holiday Collection

I am pleased to introduce Russian Holiday, my newest custom die cut collection. This collection features several different custom dies including the Ice Palace, Sleigh & Reindeer, Nutcracker and Ballerina cuts.

I was not planning to design a custom die cut collection for the holidays. This is because I very much focus designing custom die cuts that are different and unique. And when it comes to the holidays, there are many options readily available from santa, to snowmen, to snowflakes to Christmas trees. But a secret sister encouraged me to do a die which got me to thinking about onions and the magical beauty of the onion dome, an element used in Russian architectural designs. I also LOVE The Nutcracker. The magnificent music and the beautiful ballet deserved a tribute page in my album. As a Russian minor, I enjoy the movie Dr. Zhivago, which inspired my Reindeer and Sleigh and Storefront pages in my mini album.

A video is loading to my YouTube channel now, and I can't link to it yet. I'll come back and make the link later

In the meantime, here are some photos to check out:

I created this tag using using Webster's Pages WonderFall and My Minds Eye Lost & Found 2 Sunshine paper collections. I am starting to love mixing MME and WP papers as they often work well together. I also used the new Tim Holtz Movers and Shapers Mini Acorn and Pumpkin set. I spritzed the Pumpkin with Tiger Lily Glimmer Mist and the acorns with Espresso Color Wash. I layered lace and images that I fussy cut from the WonderFall paper. For the flowers, I used:

The tag is topped off with a bow of gold seam binding.

Pink It Up Altered Trunk and Card

I created an altered trunk as a gift. My goals were to make it super pink and super feminine. LOL. I hope you think it turned out that way.

A couple of exciting things about this project — I had the opportunity to incorporate the new GORGEOUS Big White Gardenia flowers from I am Roses. WOW! WOW! WOW! I am in love. Those flowers are unbelievably beautiful, and shipping was super fast too. I received them within 7 days of placing my order, including Sunday.

Also, I really enjoyed working with the MinWax Polyshades 1-step stain and sealer to finish the box. It's really 1 step, and the finish is terrific. Try it out on your next project, if you haven't already. I used the pecan color, which is light and warm, exactly what I wanted for this girly, girl trunk.

I used stronger pinks in this project, which was a challenge for me as I usually prefer soft pink. But I think they look great. The lovely, bold pink glittery damask of the My Mind's Eye Lost and Found 2 Blush paper served as a perfect background for the warm pink, ivory and vintage toned IAR flowers I used on the box. I fussy cut the patterned floral paper from Websters Pages Western Romance, what a fun paper collection!

Since this box is a gift, I made a card to go along with it. I don't consider myself much of a cardmaker and therefore I rarely ever make them. But I had a lot of fun creating this card using the scraps from my box project. It turned out super cute! The glamour girl is from Crafty Secrets Glamour Girls collection stamp set.

Here are links to all the flowers I used in these super pink and super girly projects.

New Custom Die Collections - Sneak Peeks!

I am super excited to share with you these photos of my newest custom die cut collections.

The first one is the Carriage Collection. I just love carriages. They are so romantic and vintage! I created this die because carriages just look so pretty decked out in flowers and trims, especially tassel trim. And, I really wasn't able to find a carriage die, so I made one of my own. The design is  inspired by Marie Antoinette's carriage. I'm currently working on a carriage mini album featuring Websters Pages Western Romance, totally beautiful paper, and always gorgeous I Am Roses flowers. What a lovely and perfect combination! DT member Jade from Jaded Studios is creating a carriage mini album design featuring the super rich Prima Printery paper collection. This versatile die would work great for  Parisian or Victorian themes, a princess-themed project, a Southern mini, and of course love — first dates, valentines, engagements, weddings, anniversaries (insert hopeless dopey sigh here).  :)

This is a photo of my new Kitchen Collection, and it was a lot of fun creating this die cut set. It features a retro stove with a little teapot that's sized perfectly to sit on top. Plus there's a decorative retro-inspired utensil rack and mini utensils to display on it, including a spatula, whisk, rolling pin and frying pan. Super cute collection! It would be great to use to create a recipe book with kitchen-themed papers, or to create holiday-themed recipe books for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Can't you just smell the pumpkin pie baking? LOL. Now, I'm hungry.

Storefront Mini Album

Hi everyone. Today, I am sharing some photos of my new storefront mini album. To create this album, I used the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 2 Sunshine paper, two of my custom dies and beautiful flowers from I Am Roses.

I was really excited to try out some IAR flowers in this mini that are new to me, including the new short flower spray, which really makes the bistro layout above pop. I also tried out the puffy daisies -- super fun. I gave them a polka dot twist on what I call the polka dot page of my mini. And the CARNATIONS!!! OMG, love those!!!!

It was a challenge working with the colors in this paper collection —definitely outside my comfort zone of pale pink, aqua, creams, browns and blacks. LOL. But it was a fun challenge, and I love how this mini turned out.

Here are photos of the cover and other inside pages plus links to all the flowers and leaves I used in the mini.
